academic shoot

1. The composition rules I followed in this photo are framing, from the windows around the students, and leading lines, from the lines of the windows leading your eye down to the students.
2. The subjects in this photo are the two students working on their art projects in the hallway in front of the brightly lit windows.
3. I think it is clear what the subject is because they are silhouetted and purposefully in the middle of the photo to draw your eye immediately there and add drama.

1. The composition rules I followed in this photo are rule of thirds, because the subject is placed on the far right thirds line, and balance, because there are students on the left of the subject to balance out the fact that she's on the right.
2. The subject in this photo is the girl closest to the camera with glasses that is holding up her answer to a question on a dry-erase board.
3. I think it is clear what the subject is because she is the closest to the camera and the main person in focus. The boy behind her is slightly blurry, which makes her look more in-focus and draws your attention immediately to her.

1. The composition rules I followed in this photo are rule of thirds, because the subject's body is on the left thirds line and her head is on the top left point, and framing, because the boxes formed by the windows behind her see, to frame her body.
2. The subject in this photo is the girl standing on the bench taking the picture.
3. I think it is clear what the subject is because she is the most interesting aspect of the photo and she is the only thing the camera is focused on.

1. The composition rules I followed in this photo are rule of thirds, because the table is on the left thirds line, and simplicity, because there are very few colors and shapes in this photo.
2. The subjects in this photo are the two students working at the circular table. The students are the subjects, not the table.
3. I think it is slightly unclear what the subject is because the first thing you notice is the big red table, and then you notice the students.
4. One thing I could have done differently to make the subjects stand out more would be to take pictures of them from a different angle (even thought the whole point of this photo was the angle).

1. The composition rules I followed in this photo are rule of thirds, because the subject is on the far right thirds line, leading lines, because the lines of the lights on the ceiling and the tiles on the floor lead the eye to the subject.
2. The subject in this photo is the girl working on her art project.
3. I think it is clear what the subject is because she is the only human/interesting thing in the photo, she is the most in focus, and she is a shock of color to the blue/grey color scene of Bowie.

1. The composition rules I followed in this photo are rule of thirds, because the subject is on the far right thirds line, and balance, because there are student heads to balance out the teacher as the subject.
2. The subject in this photo is the teacher who is illuminated by the projector. She is teaching french numbers.
3. I think it is clear what the subject is because she is the only person in focus, she is illuminated a different and interesting color, and your eye is immediately drawn to her. The only thing that could be possibly confusing would the the backs of the other students in the photo. I did this on purpose to show the depth of the class she was talking to, but it might be slightly distracting.
